Lynn Clayton-Prince, PhD

Dr. Lynn Clayton-Prince serves as Assistant Superintendent of Special Education/Equity and Diversity in Powhatan County Public Schools in Virginia. She is currently President of Virginia Council of Administrators of Special Education (VCASE), and Member at Large of the Nationwide Council of Administrators of Special Education CASE. Dr. Clayton-Prince has served as an administrator at the elementary and secondary level with over 29 years of experience in education. As Assistant Superintendent of Special Education she has been responsible for the oversight of all operations of the District’s Special Education department, including collaboration with all district departments that provide education, safety and welfare for students with and without disabilities. Dr. Prince also oversees Preschool services in her division which included VPI, Head Start and Early Childhood Special Education.
Over the last seven years Dr. Clayton-Prince has researched and become more involved in creating her division's Equity & Diversity leadership team. She is currently a Board member for Virginia Inclusive Communities Richmond Chapter, which focuses on addressing prejudice in order to improve academic achievement.
