Dedicated Team of Volunteers
Volunteers are the lifeblood of the Free Clinic of Powhatan. The Clinic could not operate without our volunteers who generously donate their time and expertise to help our patients.
The Clinic is mainly staffed by volunteer physicians, dentists, mental health counselors, nurses, lab techs, front desk receptionists, registrars, and other administrative personnel. We greatly appreciate all of our volunteers!
Current Opportunities
Dentist/Dental Hygienists

Dentists needed Monday and Friday 10 am - 1 pm

Hygienists needed Thursday 4 pm - 7 pm

Hours can be flexible based on availability

RNs
-
take patients’ vitals; prepare patients for visit; assist doctor or nurse practitioner

shifts available: Monday afternoon/early evening, Thursday morning
Lab Techs

draw patients’ blood and prepare samples for testing

shifts available: Thursday morning
Front Desk Receptionist

greet and check in patients, schedule appointments, answer phones

shifts available: Monday – Friday, morning, afternoon and early evening
Registrars
-
register or re-certify patients

shifts available: Monday 5 pm - 8 pm, Tuesday 10 am - 1 pm
Spanish translator

In-person translation for medical and dental patients
